5. Page Steel to fabricate 5000tn’s for Aldi in NSW and Victoria.
Page Steel Fabrications have been awarded 2 x Aldi Distribution centres to fabricate and erect by Vaughan Constructions. The first distribution centre is located in Prestons NSW containing 2500 tonnes. The second distribution centre is located in Dandenong Victoria also containing 2500 tonnes. The Dandenong distribution centre requires fabrication and erection on two faces of the warehouse. This means the program is greatly reduced and the 2500 tonnes will need to be fabricated at a rate of approximately 200 tonnes per week. Page Steel would be one of the only Melbourne fabricators who can fabricate all of the projects steel in house at the Victorian based Derrimut workshop,and not out source fabrication to other companies. All of the new CNC equipment will be utilized enabling the speed and volume of fabrication required to meet the program.
